Video Analyzer — understanding reports

How to understand video analyzer reports

In this article, we will learn how to correctly interpret the data generated by Yoola Stats. It is important to note that this report can be obtained in two ways: by pasting a link on the Home page (read 🔗 Getting Started with Yoola Stats) or by launching a deep audit of videos straight from your monitoring databases (read 🔗 Trends Tracker and analysis management).
The analyzer is adaptive: its structure and set of metrics automatically change depending on the content format you uploaded (long video or Shorts), as well as on the number of videos (single or batch analysis).

1. Report for long videos (Long-form)

The analysis of a classic horizontal YouTube video provides comprehensive information about the script, SEO, and engagement, distributed across 4 tabs.

Action Plan

This is not just statistics, but your personal checklist with recommendations. The algorithm studies what worked in a specific video and advises how to apply it on your channel: how to better reveal characters, how to improve metadata, or add new plot twists.

Packaging

A section critical for increasing CTR (Click-Through Rate). The AI evaluates the overall effectiveness of the thumbnail and title in percentages, analyzes visual triggers (Thumbnail logic), and breaks down why the title causes intrigue (Title Strategy).

Optimization

SEO breakdown of the video. You will see the Primary Keywords by which algorithms promote this video, as well as an evaluation of the description quality and tag usage.

Structure and retention

The largest and most important section for working with audience retention. At the top, the algorithm highlights explicit and hidden Calls to Action and describes the visual techniques the creator uses to maintain interest (dynamic text, zooming, sound design).

At the bottom of the screen is the Storytelling Script Structure — a convenient color-coded timeline. It visually divides the video into thematic blocks and shows the dynamics of the plot development by minute.

If you hover the cursor over any of the color blocks on the timeline, a detailed text explanation of what script step is happening at that moment (e.g., "introducing a rule", "unexpected twist", or "culmination") will appear.

2. Report for short videos (Shorts)

Promotion algorithms for Shorts differ significantly from long formats. Therefore, for short videos, Yoola Stats generates specific metrics aimed at speed and dynamics.

Action Plan

Here are collected quick recommendations adapted for the vertical format: how to more effectively integrate calls to action in a short period and how to diversify the visual presentation.

Hooks

In Shorts, the first 3 seconds decide everything. This section analyzes how powerfully the video captures attention from the first frame (Hook Content) and calculates the Swipe-away Risk — the probability that the viewer will swipe away from the video without finishing it.

Retention

A detailed breakdown of the editing pace. You will find out the Average Cut Duration, the logic of text appearing on the screen (Text on Screen Strategy), and the impact of sound effects on viewer engagement.

Structure

Analysis of short-form specific techniques: use of split-screen, aggressive color correction, hidden text overlays, and other methods of fighting attention loss.

3. Batch video analysis

If you selected several videos (e.g., 3 videos from one niche in the Trends Tracker), the Analyzer will form a single summary report. This is a powerful tool for identifying patterns.
In the Action Plan tab, the AI will analyze all the added videos and issue global strategic recommendations relevant to the entire niche.

In the Packaging section, you can compare the effectiveness of thumbnails and titles of several competitors at once on one screen to find common patterns (e.g., what colors or fonts work best).

The Optimization tab will demonstrate what overlapping keywords and tags different successful creators use to promote similar content.

In the Structure tab, you can compare the timelines of all videos side-by-side. This will allow you to calculate the ideal formula for duration and script structure that resonates best with the audience in your niche.
