To add an artist/author, go to the Music section - Artists / Authors and click “Add artist”.
Then start typing the artist’s/author’s name exactly as it appears on the music platforms.
For the convenience of searching for an artist, when you enter the artist’s name you will be offered a list of artists with corresponding artist pages on three major music platforms: Apple Music (iTunes), Spotify, and Deezer. You can follow the link to the artist’s profile on a given platform and check its relevance.
It is recommended to select the artist’s pages on all three platforms, so that you do not need to manually enter the links to the artist’s pages later.
Next, after selecting the appropriate pages on the platforms, you will be prompted to save the artist in your personal account and/or claim rights to the artist.
By saving the artist/author in your personal account without claiming rights to them, you will have access to the option to add this artist to your releases as an author/co-author/composer or as a Featured artist (feat.).
If you are the copyright holder of the artist — then you can choose the option “Claim rights to the artist”.
Next, you will be prompted to fill in the information about the artist:
1. Full legal name of the artist. It must match the name in the passport ID.
2. Add documents confirming your rights to publish content on behalf of the performer/author/composer.
3. Enter your comments for the moderators (if necessary).
4. Add links to the artist’s pages on music platforms.
Then please review the terms of the agreement and confirm that you agree to them. Submit a request to add an artist to your user dashboard for review by managers.
The request is being moderated. Expect confirmation/feedback from the manager within 2-3 business days.
Once your request has been reviewed and the artist has been approved by the moderators, you become the copyright holder of that artist. The "Owned" status applies and you will be able to create releases with that artist and mention him as the Primary artist.
